The Runaways star Kristen Stewart says she is ‘excited’ about working with her mum on a new movie.

The 19-year-old actress, who is best known for playing Bella in the Twilight Saga movie franchise, says she is looking forward to working with mum Jules Mann-Stewart on drama K-11.

Kristen told Parade.com: “She’s a really well-known script supervisor and she’s co-written this drama K-11, which she’ll direct and I will be in.

“If she called me right now and said, ‘We’re making the movie’, I would be really excited.”

She added: “I guess my question is, ‘How would it be to work with a parent?’ We’re really close and then, at the same time, we’re creatively very different.

“But, I think it would be cool if it happens.”

The edgy actress, who often covers up her slim physique in baggier outfits, wowed in the figure-hugging beige number on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

Sultry Kristen, 19, who dates hunky British co-star Robert Pattinson, plays iconic rock guitarist Joan Jett in new movie The Runaways, which also stars Dakota Fanning.

The movie – released on Friday – tells the story of the 1970s Los Angeles-based girl band.

Stewart told Fallon that the legendary musician had visited the film set so often that they were practically best pals.

“She’s one of the coolest, most badass rockers that we have,” she gushed. “She’s kind of my new BF.”

Audiences whooped after being shown a scene showing Kristen rocking the stage to smash hit I Love Playing With Fire.

But despite her obvious musical talents, she revealed that prior to making the film, she was no guitar whiz.

“I noodled, I fiddled, I plucked [before the movie],” she said. “I was really lucky that I’d played guitar because we didn’t have a lot of time to learn all the songs.”

David Beckham’s World Cup dream lies in pieces on a European soccer field.

Beckham, as if ill-fated, has suffered yet another injury, an Achilles tendon tear that will put him out of the running, according to UK reports. Just before his surgery, he appeared grimacing with a bloodied right cheek in photos that surfaced.

The Sun in an exclusive claims Beckham is inconsolable and recovering from surgery in Finland last night. His wife, Victoria Beckham, 35, was set to rush to his side from Los Angeles via London and Helsinki.

A friend said: “David has been crying and is in deep shock. Football is his life and he feels like it has been unfairly taken away from him. He’s just so low.”

Beckham, 34, was taken to a Scandinavian sports injury clinic after collapsing during a match for AC Milan. His surgeon, Sakari Orava, has ruled out playing in the World Cup, with the words “no chance”, according to the Sun.

“The tendon was totally torn,” the doctor said. It was confirmed the surgery had gone well but Beckham now faces rehabilitation while his teammates fly off to South Africa to get ready for the Cup.

A family friend said: “This is probably the lowest point he has ever encountered in his professional career. Words cannot express how devastated David is. Mentally this is disastrous. He thinks he’s being punished for something he must have done wrong in life, which of course is ridiculous.”

Beckham’s sojourn to the US was deeply blighted by an injury he suffered soon after arriving to pull the LA Galaxy out of its doldrums in 2007. The friend added: “The only reason he carried on playing so hard in Europe and was away from his family for so long was to get to his last World Cup. He thinks it’s all been for nothing.”

Mel Gibson says his new Viking epic starring Leonardo DiCaprio may be his last movie.

Gibson, who won an Academy Award for directing Braveheart, says he has always wanted to make a movie about marauding maritime Vikings.

“It was the first movie I ever thought about making,” he said. “I saw it in my mind back when I was teenager. Seriously, it’s the first movie I wanted to make. And I think it will be the last film I direct. It’s the thing I have been going toward, in a way, since I was young, and I think when it’s done I may be finished.”

Gibson discussed the film with DiCaprio during a five-hour meeting at the offices of his Icon Productions late last year.

Work is now under way on the script by Bill Monahan, who penned the screenplays for The Departed, which also starred DiCaprio, and Edge of Darkness, which starred Gibson, as well the 2005 Ridley Scott film Kingdom of Heaven, which was a battlefield epic set in the time of the Crusades.

“We’re going hammer and tongs on the script right now,” Gibson said. “When I was 16 … I became fascinated with Vikings. And I imagined what they would sound like, how would they talk and that’s what I will be going for in this film. It’s a challenge, though … The real problem is making those guys sympathetic. They were monsters.”

Cheryl Cole has reportedly kicked her husband out of their home and hired Prince Charles’ divorce lawyer to split up their fortune.

Cheryl, 26, married Ashley, 29, in 2006 but recently called time on their relationship after allegations that the Chelsea and England footballer had been cheating on her.

The couple met for talks at their home but Ashley was soon kicked out, with Cheryl hiring divorce lawyer Fiona Shackleton, who has previously represented Sir Paul McCartney and Prince Charles.

A source said to UK newspaper Daily Mail: “Cheryl is being told she should not drag this through the courts.

“Lawyers for Ashley could build a case that she wasn’t the perfect wife either. She has hardly seen him for months on end due to work, her mother Joan’s presence in the house has hardly been conductive to romance, she might occasionally have been demanding and moody. We know she can also have a difficult side. This is the girl who was found guilty of punching a nightclub toilet attendant.”

The sexy actress has been filming the thriller The Tourist alongside Johnny Depp in Paris.

But after being given a day off from shooting, Angelina Jolie, along with Brad Pitt and their four eldest children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh – decided to take in the sights of the Italy.

The family have been based in Venice but took a day trip to Florence to visit

some of its most popular attractions.

First up was the famed Uffizi Gallery, considered by many to house one of the finest collections of masterpieces in all of Europe.

Then it was on to the Ponte Vecchio, the legendary stone bridge that has shops built along it.

Brand wore an angry expression as he sat in the front row of an LA Lakers game and the words of Karl Marx written on his arm. The inscription read: “Workers of the world, unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains.”

Brand, who is engaged to Katy Perry, might be feeling the ball and chain of impending marriage. But most likely, the Sun newspaper claims, he was trying to get some publicity for the late father of communism.

Brand afterward took to his Twitter account to say: “I’ve just heard the Lakers are all millionaires! How?! I put my balls in a basket ONCE and I was thrown out of the maternity ward.

What is a Laker anyway? A sub-aquatic Quaker? It doesn’t make sense. And they pick the ball up in their hands. God I miss West Ham [a UK football team].”

The busty reality TV star says she wants to shrink her size E chest after they grew during her recent pregnancy.

And Kendra’s husband, NFL player Hank Baskett, told Lopez he was fully behind Kendra’s decision.

Molly Ringwald and her “Brat Pack” co-stars paid tribute to the late director John Hughes at Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony.

Ringwald, who stars in The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, joined Matthew Broderick, Macauley Culkin, Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy for the tribute, which she declared was easy since the group holds regular reunions. Hughes, who died last year at the age of 59, directed the bunch in The Breakfast Club (1985).

Ringwald, 42, told WENN: “We had all seen each other about five years ago when we were all together for the MTV tribute to John. We run into each other every so often. We all have very different lives and careers but we usually get together at least every couple of years for one reason or another. I just hope next time it will be for a happier occasion.”

Ringwald, who looked stunning after the birth of her twins last year, said of the opportunity to pay tribute to Hughes: “It was very emotional. It was a wonderful tribute. I was very happy to be a part of it.”

Cocktail waitress Jamie Jungers has won the title of Tiger Woods’ number one mistress in a unique beauty pageant hosted by US shock jock Howard Stern.

Jungers, 27, beat Loredanna Jolie and Jaimee Grubbs for the coveted crown – and won $75,000 in cash.

Jaimee Grubbs took home a second place prize of $15,000.

The three former mistresses came face to face for the first time during the competition held live on Howard Stern’s morning radio show.

The competition consisted of them dishing the dirt on Woods during an interview segment before flashing the flesh in two-piece bikinis during a modelling contest.

During the Tiger tell-all, Jungers and Grubbs revealed Tiger did not use condoms and they believed he was a sex addict.

Loredanna Jolie said Woods did use condoms with her. She said: “We did it three times one night, we would stop and then start over.”

Jungers added that the only thing she wants now from Tiger is an apology.

She said: “I think he needs to apologise to the women he called his mistakes – meaning us, his mistresses.”

A source said: “Kelly tried to make eye contact at a party last week, but he ignored her advances.

“She then phoned him again and again hoping he would meet up. Despite the warnings of his friend Vinnie Jones, he went through with it.”

The couple, who split in 2004 after seven years together, were later seen at a restaurant in Hollywood.

The source added: “He’s a nice guy and still has a soft spot for her. Kelly is desperate to land more work in Hollywood and wanted his advice.”

A source said that the mother-daughter duo ‘acted like any other customers’ as they enjoyed their trip to Magic Nails.

According to US reports, Elin had recently been spotted publicly kissing hubby Tiger, 35, for the first time since his infidelities were revealed in November last year.

However, Elin is still not wearing her wedding ring as she carries on her daily duties.

Sacha Baron Cohen has canned his new film about the Eurovision Song Contest.

The star of Borat and Bruno – whose Oscars presenter gig was cancelled at the 11th hour over “creative differences” relating to an Avatar-themed skit – is clearly taking a creative inventory.

The movie, which Cohen was writing with Bruno scribe Dan Mazer, was based on a desperate hopeful who enters the singing contest. Its abandonment appears a little mysterious.

A source said: “Sacha and Dan have been feverishly working on the film for a long time now. They’d completed a lot of preparatory work and had a team assisting them, but they’ve axed the idea. They felt that it wasn’t working.”

Mazer’s listing for the movie on imdb.com is likely to be as follows: “Untitled Sacha Baron Cohen Project [2011].”

Sports fan Matt Damon was forced to wear a rival American Football team’s jersey on a US chat show after losing a bet.

The Invictus actor appeared on David Letterman’s show in a New Orleans Saints uniform after their recent Super Bowl triumph.

Damon is a New England Patriots fan but had to be a Saint for the night after losing his bet with Hurt Locker actor Anthony Mackie.

He told Letterman: “I finished a couple of months ago making a film with Anthony Mackie, an actor in The Hurt Locker. He’s a big, big Saints fan. We like to talk so we made some bets. And then the Saints won the Super Bowl.”

Damon explained Mackie would have had to appear on chat show The View in a Patriots jersey if he had won the bet.

Asked by Letterman how he felt about wearing the Saints jersey, Damon laughed: “It’s not my favourite thing to be doing.”
