Is Rwanda Ready for Paris?

Paris Hilton in Rwanda? Yes, it’s true, and she even knows the country has no resorts or high-end spas…In fact, Hilton says it’s all part of her new, post jail commitment to use her celebrity to bring the spotlight to what she feels are important causes around the world.
Paris Hilton doesn’t know a thing about Rwanda. Nor does she know a thing about anything else she’s pimping. Her cause is herself. Every charity she does, she publicizes. And it’s an odd collection of mish-mash things, like she’s just throwing stuff against a wall randomly. All you have to do is find one cause, just one that you truly care about, and dedicate yourself to it. But with Paris, it’s like each individual cause gets one Paris appearance and that’s it. Then it’s on to the next. It’s like charity’s version of a publicity tour. One stop, one charity. Next stop, completely different random charity.
Diaz apologizes for Maoist bag
It’s no fault of her and yet she has been kindhearted enough to say sorry. I guess she is trying to replicate the Princess she plays in her new movie Shrek 3. But even if she didn’t say sorry, she shouldn’t have been asked to as the bag that she was carrying had a hurtful slogan and the print was in a language that she couldn’t possibly understand.

Why make her the scrape goat instead simply ask her where she bought the bag from and then find those who printed the slogan. Diaz visited the Incan city in Peru and was carrying the olive green bad with a red star and Mao Zedong’s political slogan ‘Serve the people’ printed in Chinese. To certain extent Cameron has also over reacted to the criticism, when was the last time a Hollywood beauty ever apologized for something as stupid as this? Most probably her reps have advised her as her movie is doing well and they wouldn’t like a small controversy to effect her popularity.

The ‘laws of the land’ in India really baffle people at times, it at times or rather more often driven by political views rather than by – what is allowed and what is not. In many cases such instances go unnoticed and are never talked about. Only when a high profile person lays his hands on a piece of property that catches the eye of the government, it becomes celebrity news. Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has insisted that he is a farmer by birth and therefore legally entitled to buy land in the state of Maharashtra. Mr Khan wants to avoid the same fate as fellow Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, who
is facing possible fraud charges for allegedly buying land illegally. Indian law stipulates that only farmers are allowed to own agricultural land. In court papers Mr. Khan said he came from an agricultural family and felt strong ties to the land. Aamir is one of the few Bollywood actors that have work ethics and really read the script of the movie rather than doing roles for big banner movies without any scope of portraying a character.
