John Mayer was spotted enjoying some time off with a couple of his friends in Los Cabos, Mexico last week. And guess what? None of those friends happen to be his girlfriend Jennifer Aniston. A source reveals though that the woman in the photos with John is actually the wife of one of his band members. The same day that this picture was taken, Jen was photographed out and about in Hollywood. Considering that she has been a staple on the last leg of his concert tour, it’s raising eyebrows that they’re not spending some vacation time together. Does this mean that there’s trouble in paradise for the couple?

This is the kind of Midsummer Night’s Dream most guys would like to have. Paris Hilton looked stunning in snaps of her partying at the Playboy Mansion in a see-through nightie and knickers combo.

The heiress let her hair (extensions) down at the bash in California, resembling a life-size Barbie.

With boyfriend Benjí Madden out of the picture, Paris slipped into the skimpy outfit and danced around to her heart’s content at the annual Midsummer Night’s Dream event.

The party, held by Hugh Hefner, is a summer highlight for Californian celebs.

Mariah’s Style is Out of Date

Mariah Carey is almost 40 years old but she has been making a lot of fashion mistakes lately. Most of them over the fact that she’s been dressing more like a teenager rather than a 38-year old music icon. Even Madonna knew when to quit with the spandex. If that’s not bad enough, Mariah also lip synched through her performance at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday where she wore this hideous number. All the teens in attendance laughed at her outfit and her failed attempt at staying relevant. Now I know why she married Nick Cannon, she did it to feel younger.

Pete Doherty warrant issued

A warrant has been issued for Pete Doherty’s arrest. The Babyshambles rocker is in trouble with police again after he failed to appear in court on Thursday.

Pete was due to enter a plea against allegations he pulled a camera from a female photographer’s neck, causing $400 of damage. This is the second time Pete has failed to appear at the magistrate’s court in Yeovil, South West England. He missed a scheduled court date last month on the same charges.

Pete, 28, is alleged to have chased press photographer Cath Mead, 22, into a shop in the town of Crewkerne and yanked the camera from her neck, damaging its lens.

Pete gave chase after Mead took a photograph of him and his then-girlfriend Irina Lazareanu.

At the time of the alleged incident, Pete was already on bail for drugs and driving offences.

He is now expected to appear before magistrates next week. Pete was jailed for 14 weeks this April for breaching his probation order. He was released in May after serving 29 days of his sentence.

Hayden Panettiere Hacks It Off

What is it with these beautiful celebs getting the bob haircuts? Wasn’t the ridicule inflicted on Katie Holmes enough to show them that it was not a cute style? Geez.

The latest to join the craze? Hayden Panettiere. I guess in her case, we’ll blame it on the fact that she’s only 18.

Oh well. At least she has enough flow to pay for some extensions when she realizes the big mistake she made.

Michael Jackson’s demise

Once the undisputed King of Pop, now frail Michael Jackson is reduced to using a wheelchair as he approaches his half century.

The singer, who turns 50 on August 29, appears fragile and gaunt as he is wheeled by a minder to a Las Vegas bookshop while wearing pyjamas and slippers.

Jacko hides behind shades, a hat, black scarf and surgical mask, his thin frame visible through the cotton trousers and his pale hands the only part of his body on show.

One onlooker said: “There are constant rumours of a Michael Jackson comeback but it was shocking to see that in reality he is a shadow of his former self. He seemed too weak even to get out of the chair to cross the road himself. He stayed in the store for two hours and wheeled himself around in the chair the whole time. The skin on his hands was peeling, almost like a snake’s. He kept his mask on all the time. His security man was at his side and nobody approached him. It is really sad.”

Jacko was seen reading in the kids’ section with his children, Prince Michael, 11, Paris Katherine, ten, and five-year-old Prince Michael II, alias Blanket.

Finally Jacko picked out a box full of books and CDs before his minder paid for them and wheeled him out of the shop.

Sources say the singer often goes out in a wheelchair when he is too weak to walk.

One said: “He has days when he is fine but others when he feels listless and too weak to walk. Then he calls for the wheelchair. Usually on those days he also refuses to get dressed, spending all day in his pyjamas.”

While Jacko’s contemporary, Madonna prepares to celebrate her 50th with a hit album and blockbuster global tour, Wacko has been beset by personal problems and is in tatters.

He claims he has been working on a new album, teaming up with producers including the Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am and impresario Simon Fuller. Yet fans are yet to hear even the hint of a new single or any comeback shows.

The troubled star has also battled an addiction to prescription drugs which started during his child molestation trial in 2005. He was cleared of all charges but Jacko struggled with a fear of facing the public and turned to painkillers dished out by his private nurse.

The star is also believed to be $250million in debt and recently sold his Neverland Ranch.

The source added: “Jacko is struggling for money and needs to work. There’s huge interest in a comeback, but there are doubts that Jacko can pull it off. He isn’t strong enough — mentally or physically.”

Matt Damon Puts on Baby Fat

Matt Damon has long been considered one of the sexiest men alive, especially in my book. Recently, though, he’s been trading in his rock hard abs for some, umm, fleshiness. Is he putting on baby fat to try and feel for pregnant wife Luciana?

Nah, he’s a sympathetic hubby, but not that much. Instead, Matt says he put on between 20 and 30 pounds for his part in The Informant, his upcoming movie. He says, “It wasn’t necessarily that I needed to be fat. It was that I needed to be doughy.”

So how did he do it? “I just stopped working out and basically just ate whatever I wanted. I ate a lot of In-N-Out, a lot of burgers, a lot of beer, and basically had a great time.”

Wow, so he basically ate like the rest of us.

Justin Timberlake Gets Dirty

Justin Timberlake assumed his role as the new face of Givenchy ‘Play’ at the presentation of the brand’s new fragrance at Mini Palais on the Champs Elysees, Paris on Wednesday. The 27-year old singer and actor wore a classy outfit which included a two-toned blazer but he opted to play it down by wearing a pair of dirty and ratty boots. I’m loving him as a style icon but I’m not loving him as an actor. In his latest comedy ‘The Love Guru’, Justin wasn’t shown any love at the box office by only raking in $12 million in ticket sales last weekend. The movie trailed behind ‘Get Smart’, ‘Kung Fu Panda’ and ‘The Incredible Hulk’.

Britney Spears granted overnight visits

Britney Spears was reportedly granted overnight visits with her two children yesterday.

The latest court hearing in her lengthy custody case with ex-husband Kevin Federline allowed the singer to spend more time with her sons, Sean Preston, two, and 20-month-old Jayden James.

A court spokesperson would not comment on whether the reports of overnight visits were true, only saying: “There was a change in visitation status that was ordered by Commissioner Gordon this morning. I’m not at liberty to answer any questions about the nature of that change.”

When asked whether she was happy about the outcome of the hearing, Britney - accompanied by father and co-conservator of her estate Jamie - smiled and said: “Yes.”

The case will be reviewed in another hearing on July 15. Britney lost custody of the children in October, and had all rights to see them withdrawn following her alleged breakdown in January.

Subsequent court appearances have seen her visitation time slowly increased.

Pamela Anderson reunites with Tommy

Former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson is back with ex-hubby Tommy Lee – ten years after divorcing him. The busty actress, 40, and their sons Brandon, 12, and Dylan, ten, have moved in with the Motley Crue drummer in LA.

And Lee, 45, said: “It’s awesome, man. You can tell by the kids’ faces – they’re happy.”

The couple wed in 1995 and appeared in an infamous sex video before splitting in 1998. Pam has since divorced twice.

Lee added: “We’ve only given it a try 800 times. 801 here we go.”

Taryn Manning has made an acting career out of playing low-rent skanks but it looks like her characters are taking over her life. The Boomcat singer’s musical performance at Lily Pond nightclub this past Saturday made the Hamptons feel more like a middle-of-nowhere trailer park kegger. Forget world peace, the end of terrorism or making poverty history. What the world really needs is to put a stop to actresses thinking they can have a great career in music. John Mayer Meets Jennifer Aniston’s Friends

It’s not exactly meeting the family but it’s close enough. Jennifer Aniston took musician boyfriend John Mayer to visit best friend and former ‘Friends co-star Courtney Cox at her gated beach home in Malibu, California on Sunday. The 39-year old actress and the 30-year old singer drove together in his Porsche Cayenne Turbo and spent the afternoon with 43-year old Courtney and her 36-year old husband David Arquette. It looks like Jen and Courtney think alike with having younger men by their sides. I guess this proves that John and Jen really are still together. John was even seen walking up the stairs to the main house holding on to Jen’s waist. How sweet!

David Cook Snags Idol Reject

Now that he’s been crowned the new American Idol, David Cook pretty much has his pick on the gamut of women that are after the self-proclaimed single guy. But once he got the chance, David chose to go for a fellow Idol contestant of seasons past. The American Idol champ asked out former Idol star Kimberly Caldwell on live television on Wednesday night and on Sunday night, he finally cashed in. I guess he likes the blondes. Sorry ladies, it looks like the only fresh Idol meat left is David Archuleta. Be careful though, the little guy is still jailbait after all.

Newly married Pete Wentz showed off his wedding ring on Friday night in New York City. Uhm, that’s it? The band is so boring in its simplicity. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with simple. But that ring is definitely less than what I expected from a guy who wears eyeliner and flat irons his hair. I expected something more flashy – like a ring that’s heavy with diamond and could probably even be worth more than what he paid for Ashlee Simpson’s engagement ring and wedding ring combined. That ring better just be a temp ring because the wedding was planned so quickly.

Will you Jessica Biel my bride?

He has dated some of the most beautiful women in the world but gorgeous actress Jessica Biel has finally tamed Justin Timberlake. I hear he will soon be proposing and has already started looking at potential wedding venues — or in his case, islands.

The two have been dating since January last year and rumours are rife they may already be planning a family. One source said Jessica has not been drinking recently, sparking pregnancy rumours. They added: “Justin is 27 and thinking about marriage and kids. For the first time in his life he is feeling settled and has definitely decided to pop the question to Jessica. He is so happy with her. They spent quite a bit of time apart recently when Justin was working with Madonna. That made him certain Jessica was the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.”

For any girls out there not yet feeling a twinge of jealously towards Jessica — who most recently caught the eye in the film I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry — wait until you see where Justin wants them to get wed.

Pete Doherty to be Freed

This piece of news, I don’t get. The UK media is saying that Pete Doherty is set to be freed on Tuesday. If that really is the case, he will have served 29 days of the 98 he was sentenced. Considering that there’s been news of him getting high in jail and the things he can do outside scares the heck out of me because it confirms how screwed up the British justice system is. A friend of the rock star even said of Pete that “He’s planning to go straight to play a gig — and then get smashed. He wants no business appointments for three days — so he can really go for it.” It’s obvious that jail time did nothing on his conscience.

Drunken Christina Aguilera

New mom Christina Aguilera was spotted as she got a helping hand from her music executive husband Jordan Bratman after leaving a launch party of the Crown Bar in Hollywood on Wednesday. Did she have one too many drinks? The 27-year old walked out noticeably dizzy as her hubby helped carry her out of the bar. But don’t think Christina will feel bad about any bad press. She recently said that “In terms of reading bad opinions, I tend to see all negativity and criticism as a good thing. Because people are at least talking about me, so they must care in some way.” There’s no such thing as bad publicity for her.

Drunken Paula Abdul

As many of you American Idol fans have guessed, Paula Abdul was most likely drunk during her loopy appearance on the performance show on Tuesday. According to some sources, Paula had a martini with her lunch at around 1 in the afternoon Pacific time at Maggiano’s. Idol tapes at 5PM LA time. The Idol judge was said to be bubbly when she left the restaurant and had to have an assistant shut her up. Either Paula is a lightweight or she had more than one martini with her lunch. There’s also a chance that her drinking didn’t stop when she stopped her lunch.

Pete Doherty Will Be Homeless

Pete Doherty might not have a home to come back to when he gets out of jail in a few weeks. There are reports that claim that the rocker’s landlord has just evicted his junkie self. When the landlord went on a maintenance check of the nine-bedroom mansion being rented by Pete, it was found that the home was in absolute shambles. A source says that the walls, floor and even some windows have been stained with human blood. The house was also said to be littered with feces from the nine cats that Pete left there. That is absolutely gross!

Recovering starlet Britney Spears is not only working on her mental well-being – she’s also working on getting back to the golden days of her physique. Brit, along with security, paparazzi and her mandatory iced coffee drink in tow, was spotted as she paid a visit to a Culver City gym on Tuesday. She’s trying to get back down to her pre-gurney/losing her babies/rehab/head-shaving/K-Fed/Jason Alexander weight. And if you remember how she looked during last year’s MTV VMAs, you know it’s going to take a lot more than teaching a kids’ class at Millennium Dance Studios to shed some weight off of her.

Wino is a Muscle Woman

Amy Winehouse was spotted as she took a break from a recording studio in North England on Thursday. Look at the muscle on her! The 24-year old singer has been busy working on a song for the soundtrack of the new James Bond movie ‘The Quantum of Solace’. I almost thought that she’s not going to be able to do it because back in February, a source close to the project commented that “If Amy is clean then, [the Bond song is] hers.” So I guess that Wino’s clean as she’s still on the project. Either that or she’s a really good actress.

Amy Winehouse likes big butts and she cannot lie. I’ll stop right there. I’m not sure if she really does but she sure likes to hit an awkward pose with her butt hanging out. I’m just hoping that she doesn’t pose that way for all her pictures, especially for the one she did for the April 2008 issue of British magazine Easy Living. The 24-year old ‘Rehab’ singer posed au natural for a photo shoot for a breast cancer awareness campaign which will be featured in the magazine. Photographer Carolyn Djangoly worked with Wino to get the perfect shot. Apart from Amy, singer Sade and actress Helena Bonham Carter will also be posing for the campaign.

Britney’s New Endeavor

Britney Spears recently got a taste of doing a decent job when she was a guest star on the comedy ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and it seems that it was just what she needed to get going. The recovering pop star is back and she’s back with a vengeance! Britney is said to be regrouping, reprioritizing and is set on getting her like and career back on track. She’s also said to be keeping busy with new projects and focusing on the future. A source close to the starlet reveals that she’s going to open her own dance studio called ‘The Basement’. Brit has been teaching classes to children at Millennium Dance Studios so opening her own studio is the natural evolution of that. Good luck Britney!

Amy Winehouse has a lot going on in her life right now and most of them are really not good. She has that no-good husband of hers still in jail, the whole sobriety issue she still continues to need improvement on but she’s also got a lot of nasty things on her face. The British pop wreck is still battling with her latest demon, a bad case of impetigo. Impetigo is a contagious skin infection that has exploded all over her face. And they’re letting her out of the house? How did she develop this thing anyway? I bet it has something to do with her drug use.

Here’s a look at Britney Spears during her appearance on the CBS sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’. The episode in which the recovering starlet makes a guest appearance is set to air on March 24. In the episode, Brit plays Abby, a secretary at a dermatologist’s office. Soon after meeting Josh Radnor’s character Ted, Abby becomes smitten even having the line “Can we have sex and then go shopping?” While shooting the episode, the show’s star Neil Patrick Harris was asked how Britney was in the role, to which he replied with “She’s been doing well. Surprisingly, no British accent.”

David Beckham in the Mood for Chinese Tattoo

Not much can distract us from David Beckham taking off his shirt. I mean, just feast on those beautiful abs. But Beck’s new taste for Chinese had us looking again and again and again.

He has a new tattoo on his left rib cage. He showed it after a charity soccer game in Dallas Sunday. His rep says, “The tattoo is written in traditional Mandarin Chinese and is an old Chinese proverb that says ‘Death and life have determined appointments, Riches and honors depends up on heaven.’ David got the tattoo while the L.A. Galaxy were in Hong Kong for their pre-season tour of Asia.”

Naomi Campbell’s Chopper Getaway

Naomi Campbell checked into the Sirio Libanez Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, last week for undisclosed emergency surgery. Obviously, she wanted to escape as much media attention as possible when she left, so she didn’t opt for the normal way out a back door.

Instead, she hit the roof for a helicopter ride. She was whisked away in a pretty bird, far from the watchful eye of everyone except a few sly cameramen.

Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s daughter is dipping her toe into the modeling industry. Here’s to hoping that she won’t turn out like annoying potato head also known as Rumer Willis. But Frances is way too cool for that so I’m sure she wouldn’t.
