Justin Timberlake Gets Dirty

Justin Timberlake assumed his role as the new face of Givenchy ‘Play’ at the presentation of the brand’s new fragrance at Mini Palais on the Champs Elysees, Paris on Wednesday. The 27-year old singer and actor wore a classy outfit which included a two-toned blazer but he opted to play it down by wearing a pair of dirty and ratty boots. I’m loving him as a style icon but I’m not loving him as an actor. In his latest comedy ‘The Love Guru’, Justin wasn’t shown any love at the box office by only raking in $12 million in ticket sales last weekend. The movie trailed behind ‘Get Smart’, ‘Kung Fu Panda’ and ‘The Incredible Hulk’.

Victoria Beckham ’s Dresses

Victoria Beckham is launching a range of dresses. The former Spice Girl - who already has her own line of jeans and sunglasses - admits the garments will be expensive but insists customers will pay for quality.

She said: “It will be something completely different from what I’ve ever done. I’m just putting it together at the moment, but they will be very upscale dresses and likely will start at around $1,200. I’m going to be using very expensive fabrics and finishes, lots of embroideries.”

She intends to unveil the dresses at New York Fashion Week in September. Despite her latest fashion foray, Victoria - who is married to soccer star David Beckham - insists she would never design sports clothes because it’s not her style.

She said: “I won’t do sportswear - I only like to do things that are true to myself and things I would wear myself.”

Victoria’s jeans range were recently being sold for less than half price in some US stores due to a lack of demand.

Lily’s blonde and Smile-ing

Lily Allen seems to be back to her former happy, cheeky self.

The singer was out and about in East London with a male pal this weekend sporting a new blonde hairdo.

I’m not quite sure that I like the new hair colour, it reminds me of Amy Winehouse´s misguided venture into the world of the blondes a few months back.

But that’s where the similarities end.

After the troubles she’s been through recently, it’s good to see that Lily has still Smile on her face.

Like Amy though I hope she goes Back To Black…

It Runs in the Family: Frances Bean Cobain

Here’s another celebrity spawn trying to make it famous like her parents. Frances Bean Cobain is following in her parents’ footsteps, just not in the music industry. Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s daughter is dipping her toe into the modeling industry. The rock and roll royalty offspring is featured in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar where she recreates scenes from the films ‘Evita’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Grease’. Here’s to hoping that she won’t turn out like annoying potato head also known as Rumer Willis. But Frances is way too cool for that so I’m sure she wouldn’t.

More Britney Issues

As if Britney Spears is in need of more drama right now, a Las Vegas fashion consultant is suing the pop wreck for damages in excess of $50,000 claiming that the fallen pop star stopped paying her for her services. Well that’s pretty obvious.

The lawsuit was filed on January 18 in Clark County District Court. Nancy Rosu is claiming that Brit had her buying clothes on her behalf then reimbursed her later. But in August 2007, Brit stopped paying her back. Rosu is suing for breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress and some other things. Get in line for that one.

Wino Goes Blonde

Her husband may be rotting in jail but I think that he would choose to stay there once he gets a sight of her. Amy Winehouse has ditched her signature beehive look and showed of her newly blonde hairdo in London on Wednesday. Is it a fashion upgrade or downgrade? To be quite honest, I’m really not sure. I mean, I’m pretty sure she finally got all the rats out of her head but she still scares me.

She does score some points for the vintage Johnny Depp shirt though. Wino chose a good time to wear it since Johnny is Rolling Stone’s cover boy.

Elle Macpherson makes a Splash

Well I hope that I will look half as good as Elle Macpherson when I reach 44. The Aussie supermodel looks fighting fit as she surfs along a Sydney beach – much to the pleasure of every man on the sand. And what man wouldn’t want to watch?

The mum of two looks fitter than most girls half her age so we salute her as she has fun making waves. Most of us daren’t bare enough flesh to grace a surfboard never mind do it as well as she did. Absolutely fantastic – she’s one Elle of a woman.

Lohan Gets Her Hair Done

Someone PLEASE explain to me why these women think that extensions are a good idea? I mean, I personally know someone who has them because she’s had chemo… but for women who AREN’T losing their hair.. it’s just unnecessary! She needs to do ANY color other than blonde. And paves does make everyone look like shit. She still looks like shit though so its not really his fault. Just kidding, she looks better than she used to, but still get rid of the blonde!!!!!!!!!!! Lohan finally took out those nappy extensions that Ken Paves did for her two weeks ago and got her roots redone. Judging from the background of the picture I’m assuming she went to a different salon, which is also probably why her hair actually looks good this time.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the latest sell out of the music business, Lily Allen. The UK singer has just been named the new face of Agent Provocateur. Yes, the same girl who, just a few months ago, was crying and rambling on her blog about being a fat pig.

I was pretty much fine with her coming out with her own fashion line, but this is a bit much. Now that she’s lost a bit of weight, she’s going to be on a lingerie campaign? The message it sends to young girls is just so wrong.

According to the Mirror, Agent Provacateur owners were after a younger and fresher image. And with Lily going from a size 14 to a size 8, she was the ‘perfect’ choice. Pfft.

Nelly Furtado Has Blond Hair

Her hair stylist, who ever did the job on her hair need a +10 lens spectacles. What kind of color shade did the stylist want to apply and if these are the desired results then, oh holy cow that’s the ugliest color of hair I have seen in some time. What did Nelly have in her mind, she wanted to match the color of her footwear and the hair color. I realize it is supposed to be blond, but it really looks golden orange. Doesn’t it? I think she looks better as a brunette, personally, but then again I really don’t care what she looks like either. I don’t dislike her or anything but she definitely slips under my radar of care. She is going to be performing at the VMAs and the extra light hair could just be something that will not be right match with the awesome lights display for the event. Hopefully during the performance the fans can see her and recognize it’s her.

Mischa Barton showed up to the Save the Children’s 75th Anniversary Celebration in New York City last night. And apparently her idea of saving the children is showing off her areola in a see-through top. Me, usually, I just break down the doors of burning buildings and pull the children out with my bare hands while curing their cancer. But, hey, Mischa’s method sounds pretty good too.

Jennifer Lopez Rocks

When Jennifer Lopez sees it fit to rock out, she goes all out… even if it’s just for a two-song set at the star-studded Fashion Rocks concert which aired last Friday.

Newsday had given rave reviews on her performance, reporting that “Jennifer Lopez was stunning with a high-concept performance of her new single ‘Do It Well,’ which played out like a Broadway musical number complete with fake paparazzi and a troupe of dancers. Then, after a bit of a struggle removing her first outfit, she delivered a remixed version of ‘Waiting for Tonight’ that seemed built for the runway with all the wind machines and strutting models.”

A Little Southern Hospitality

Joining the likes of Jessica Simpson and Beyonce in the effort to saturate the world with their presence, Justin Timberlake is offering a little southern hospitality. The singer/actor/fashion designer is not a restaurateur with the grand opening of his restaurant Southern Hospitality in New York City on Wednesday.

The food stop will be serving none other than ‘Cracker Cuisine’, Memphis-style food inspired by recipes from the Timberlake family. The place will be decorated by items found in Memphis flea markets, most of which would be antiques.

The business will be run by JT’s best friends Trace Ayala and Eytan Sugarman. Southern Hospitality is JT’s second restaurant effort. The first is dim sum joint Chi in Los Angeles.
