Amy Winehouse leaves hospital for Mandela rehearsal

Amy Winehouse briefly left hospital yesterday. The ‘’ singer – who was admitted to hospital after collapsing at her home last week – was allowed to attend a rehearsal for Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert in London’s Hyde Park, where she is due to perform on Friday.

A source said: “Amy doesn’t want to cancel – it’s keeping her going. She begged the doctors to let her out to rehearse. She went into the studio for a few hours and sang her heart out. She sounded amazing. No matter what else is happening in her life, Amy can still turn it on.”

Amy is also scheduled to perform at the Glastonbury music festival on Saturday. Although Amy’s dad, Mitch, recently voiced his fears she was suffering from emphysema, doctors are still trying to diagnose what is wrong with Amy.

A source said: “She has scarring on her lungs, which doctors say could lead to emphysema, but she isn’t as bad as her dad first thought.”

Tracey Miller, Amy’s US-based representative, has also denied she has the debilitating lung disease. She said: “She is not diagnosed with full-blown emphysema, but instead has early signs of what could lead to emphysema.”

Drunken Christina Aguilera

New mom Christina Aguilera was spotted as she got a helping hand from her music executive husband Jordan Bratman after leaving a launch party of the Crown Bar in Hollywood on Wednesday. Did she have one too many drinks? The 27-year old walked out noticeably dizzy as her hubby helped carry her out of the bar. But don’t think Christina will feel bad about any bad press. She recently said that “In terms of reading bad opinions, I tend to see all negativity and criticism as a good thing. Because people are at least talking about me, so they must care in some way.” There’s no such thing as bad publicity for her.

Why Britney Was Released

Ok, so everyone wants to know why in the world crazy Britney was allowed to leave her mandatory 14 day stay in the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center. After all, her doctor says he wanted her to stay.

It seems he was overruled by a court representative who found “no just cause” to hold her any longer. Forget the fact that she’s been on some insane medication, acted so nuts that even her family was frightened, and changed personas so much that we can’t keep track.

Attorney Terry K. Wasserman offered his opinion, even though he is not involved in Britney’s case. He said, “This is when law and medicine collide, when a lawyer can override a doctor’s opinion.”

Britney Rolls Out

Britney Spears was a no show to her deposition on Wednesday and said she was too sick to actually go. But she looked just fine when paparazzi caught her driving around until 2 in the morning on Thursday.

Cameras caught the pop wreck and an unidentified assistant leaving the Four Seasons and heading to a gas station. When she was asked why she missed her very important deposition on Wednesday morning, she didn’t answer. When asked how she was doing, she said “Just fine.” So why the no show? After filling up her tank with $50 worth of gas at the 76, she went to another gas station on Sunset. Why would you go to 2 gas stations the same night?

Amy Winehouse Dreaming of a White Christmas?

Amy Winehouse certainly is; but I’m not talking snow unfortunately. I mean clinic Amy’s team plan to send her to in Israel? Yes that’s right the rehab that only lasts a week. Well they are going ahead with plans to send the troubled singer; but not before a full blown binge this Christmas.

Since hubby was jailed recently a pal admits that Amy has been taking more drugs than ever, comparing it to having a cup of tea. But after being nominated for six Grammies; our girl wants to shine for the awards ceremony in LA next February and so has vowed to get her life back on track after the New Year.

Well I hope she means it, as rumour is bookies are taking bets as to whether she will actually be alive for the Grammy awards; never mind clean.

Amy Winehouse Powdered Her Nose

Amy Winehouse powdered her nose alright. Too bad it’s not in the sense of touching up her make up. She isn’t even trying to hide it anymore!

The London lady soul singer left her home on Thursday with some white powder residue still on her nose and was chauffeured to her first party stop where she decided that she wanted to change her pants along the way. This left paparazzi gaping at the half-naked, gap-toothed, bee-hived ‘Rehab’ singer.

After an evening on the town, it appears that Wino misplaced her keys and had to get back into her home by sliding under the gate. Sources say that she made it back in. Good for her.

Amy Winehouse Bra Escapade Was Sleep Induced

If you haven’t see the pics of Amy Winehouse walking around the streets of London in her red bra and without her typical beehive, then count yourself among the blessed. Rumors have flown over the past few days about her actions prior to losing her shirt. Was she drunk? Had she fallen off the deep end?

Neither, according to her lawyer. “She was not on an all night bender.” So, why was she walking half naked at 5:45 on a Sunday morning?

According to her rep, Amy had been sleeping when she heard a noise outside. She’d had some friends over earlier, and she thought maybe they had come back. She went outside to look around, and instead of her friends, her yard was full of photographers. As for the expression on her face, he says, “She’d been sound asleep and then there were all these photographers - of course she looked startled.”

While he is quick to squash the rumors, he understands where they stem from. “In light of recent reports, it is easy to make false assumptions, but she’s getting better and she needs the space to do that.”

Give the poor girl a break. She rose to sudden stardom and then is being knocked off the pedestal by the very people who put her on it in the first place. Her hubby is in jail, she’s going nuts - give her the space to recoup.

Umm, but Amy? Can you keep a shirt on please? I’m trying to keep my dinner down, here.

Splitsville for Lohan and Giles

Lindsay checked into the Cirque Lodge in Utah to seek treatment for her addiction back in August. She checked out on October 5 and had herself a new man. Enter - Riley Giles, a snowboarder.

Her dad approved of the relationship, saying, “He’s a great, great kid. If you met him, you’d like him.” He was a potential good thing in a life that was so, well, not good. Except that sources say her friends didn’t care much for him.

But sources say he’s no longer the man for Lohan. They apparently broke up over Thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully that won’t send Lindsay into some sort of alcoholic rage and ruin any progress she’s made.

A friend says she did it because she’s trying to focus on her life and her career. What she did was send him running back to Utah, trying to get back together with his EX-FIANCEE!

Lindsay has been trying to make some positive changes in her life. She’s in talks with Motown to record a new album. She is set to enter the studio next week.

Lindsay, from someone who is not exactly a big fan of yours, here’s to you and trying to turn things around. But you shoulda stuck with Giles - he had something going on.

Amy Winehouse’s Dad seems to be taking a leaf out of her hubby’s book in the GBH department; but all we can hear is cheering, as it is Pete Doherty who is at the receiving end.Judging on the reaction to the incident at Amy’s Brixton gig last week; it has been a long time coming and it seems people are of the “he deserved it” way of thinking.

Cab driver Mitch says he is sick of bad boys leading his daughter astray, and upon meeting Pete backstage he told him to leave Amy alone, saying that he was the last person she needs at moment. One onlooker said “Pete was smirking until Mitch turned round and hit him with a guitar”

Hurrah! Finally Doherty got what he deserved. Now perhaps Amy’s family can concentrate on her; because judging by the state of her last week she definitely requires some TLC.

Foxy Brown is Out

The name Foxy Brown and the term good behavior are two things that you would never put together in a sentence, except maybe for this one. But somehow, someone made a different sentence with it.The rapper whose real name is Inga Marchand got herself thrown into solitary confinement for shoving another inmate and refusing to do a drug test. But she has reportedly changed and became compliant and cooperative recently which got her an out of ‘punitive segregation’ early for good behavior. She was one of four female inmates given early release out of over 20 in the unit.

I guess miracles do happen.

Bad News for Wino

Bad news came for Amy Winehouse and her husband Blake Fielder Civil on Friday. Blake’s request for bail was denied.The troubled singer’s equally troubled husband has been in jail for the most of November already and he will now be in the slammer until January 18th at the very least. That’s the schedule of the next hearing in his witness tampering case.

That sucks for him and Amy. Can they not get better lawyers? Even Paris Hilton’s lawyer would do. But then again, interfering with justice isn’t really looked at as a good thing. Blake may just as well make himself comfortable.

Fergie on Rehab

Black Eyed Peas’ front woman turned solo act Fergie is featured on the cover of the new issue of Allure magazine. Apart from her picture obviously going through lots of Photoshop, she made some interesting comments in the accompanying interview.

When asked about celebrities going in and out of rehab, Fergie threw back another question asking “How are you supposed to get better when people are constantly leaking stories about you when you’re in rehab?”

She does have a valid point though. Rehab isn’t just a physical thing, it really relies on a lot of the emotional and mental factors too. So when you’ve got people throwing whatever at you, what can you do?

Amy Winehouse is Troubled

Do you know that philosophy that we’re all born good and that out environment is what makes us bad? Well, Sylvia Young, the founder of the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London thinks that’s just the case for our dear troubled Amy Winehouse.

Young wrote a very passionate plea to her former pupil in hopes that the singer can and will get back on track. Young says that she was blow away when she first heard the young Wino sing and even compared her to Judy Garland and Ella Fitzgerald. But young says that “There is a danger that Amy will be better known for her personal life than for her God-given musical gifts.”

Amy Winehouse Lets Her Hair Down

How do you spot one tiny Amy Winehouse in a sea of people? She’s pretty easy to find of course because she hardly changes her style. Or does she?

In a very rare occasion, the ‘Rehab’ singer was spotted without her beehive-like hair. Wino was virtually unidentifiable as she walked through the streets of Berlin with her hair as down as her teary-eyed face.

She did manage to keep some of her identity in tact though as she was recognized by her cigarette and signature ballet flats that look like they’re about to fall apart.

I wonder what caused the sudden change of look. Lack of hairspray maybe?

Pete Doherty’s Rehab

When it comes to Pete Doherty, everyone pretty much knows that nothing’s conventional. Not even rehab. Pete says that he’s been sober for seven weeks now, or seven years in Doherty time. He also says that staying away from rock and roll and getting closer to his family is getting him through.

The rocker has been in and out of rehab and jail due to various charges of drug use and possession. Pete told BBC that his latest sobriety stretch got him to reunite with his estranged father and that his dad even accompanies him to rehab center Clouds House and even participates in the therapy sessions. Part of Pete’s treatment also includes only being allowed to play guitar twice a week.

Britney Get Through With 1st Drug Test

She should NOT be praised for praising a drug test - that doesn’t include prescription drugs. Just because they come from a Dr. doesn’t mean they’re harmless. Px drugs are some of the worst of them all. And I don’t buy it that it was her pee anyway. I think that only time can tell if she’ll get better. But from the looks of her most recent pap shoots, I don’t think it’ll be anytime soon. It’s a first step in the right direction. Hopefully the judge will demand 6 mos clean tests to make sure she is for real. And I hope she does everything else he tells her to do. This judge is not playin’ with her. If she doesn’t get her act, she will lose her kids. Simple as that! We all and Britney too should take it one day at a time, she has got through with the 1st one and that’s good but there more to come and we shouldn’t look that far right now. I just hope she comes out clean but frankly the chances do not look that bright and sunny as the Caribbean coast line weather forecast for her.

Lindsay Lohan ready to leave rehab soon

Not sure if you guys remember this chick, but Lindsay Lohan’s rehab stint is just about over. Granted there’ve been rumors of her doing coke and having sex with guys in the bathroom while at the Cirque Lodge facility. As a coke dealer, I must say that I and my fellow entrepreneurs look forward to her return. We are burdened with overstocks on the supply side that have driven the prices down, thereby impacting our bottom lines (no pun intended). Lindsay’s return will balance out the supply and demand, thereby eliminating our overstock issues and returning the market to its natural state. I expect my profits to immediately return to pre-Lindsay-rehab levels once the is back in town. These Celebrities have a great say in how are markets run and much of our supplies are because we have such esteemed clients, sometimes a break that they have through staying in the rehab is welcome one too, because once they are out they are more hungry for addiction, and it means boom time for me.

“Don’t Die Lindsay” Ads To Run Today

I don’t know if you wanna call it great advertising but this ad will definitely get you to stop and wonder. It’s only too late if she really cleans up her act. She is getting out this weekend so as soon as she gets in trouble again this will be a hit. Not that I am hoping she f*cks up again but I just don’t see her changing anytime soon. She is seriously in trouble. She’s all cool and sporty standing outside of rehab in her custom jacket that says DON’T FOLLOW ME. But she’s been in and out of rehab over and over again. There are some major issues there. I think the ad is great. We all love her and want the best for her. Maybe she needs a wake-up call. Obviously her current situation isn’t getting better.

Britney To Go to Rehab?

Here we go again and again and again, a news story on none other than Britney ‘troubled’ Spears. She is in the entertainment headlines every day and infact almost every 6-10 hours there is something that is shaping in the woeful life of Britney Spear. And that’s happening to everyone in Hollywood, some are finding time to get pregnant and others taking time of to spend time at a rehab. She seriously needs to be committed to a mental health facility as soon as possible. I’m saying that out of concern, not hate. The young woman has some real issues that need to be addressed and taken control of. She really needs to take control of what’s happening in her life and reassess things with some degree of putting an end to all her woes and giving life a new direction and a new impetus. I really want to see her come back with a vengeance and prove all her critics and detractors wrong, just once.

Amy Winehouse is Detoxing

I’ve written a handful of times about soul-singer Amy Winehouse and her addiction to cocaine, heroin, and alcohol. She’s had major drama–her husband Blake Fielder-Civil won’t be with her until she detoxes, even though he needs to detox, too. His family asked people not to buy her records until she got clean and her own family is worried she will die. Even Courtney Love seems to worry about Amy… that’s how bad her addiction is. And why mention her family and Courtney alone, even I have my opinion about Amy and I can voice it too. Some people have talent and Amy is one of them and there’s no doubt about that but the same who have the talent are reckless about themselves is the ironic thing. Amy, however, is in rehab as we speak, hopefully getting clean and sober. She is at the Jade Mountain Resort in St. Lucia, where she is currently detoxing. Now this fly bird better book a bed or room in a good rehab centre for the entire year because at least I have lost count of the number of times she’s been to a rehab this year alone.

Owen Wilson Goes To Rehab

Owen Wilson has reportedly been released from Cedars-Sinai Hospital but has not gone home. He has checked himself into a rehab facility to get the help he needs to get his life back on track. Owen was taken to the hospital after he tried to out himself by slitting his wrists and taking a lot of pills. There were rumors that he has been doing a lot of drugs lately but his lawyer quickly squashed the drug talk. Drugs that’s the only possible that is sustaining his life right now or else he would have been dead long before. If he’s not doing drugs why is he in rehab? Lying sack of crap lawyers….. This Owen Wilson story is fast becoming the talking point in Hollywood and the derogatory remakes that are being said by all those who even do not know the reason why is was taken to a hospital shows that people just want to shout bad things just because he is an actor. We all kind of love bashing famous people.

Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil Fight

They got into a heated physical argument and of course there are pictures to prove it! According to sources, people at the hotel the two were staying at complained about yelling, saying they could hear the couple fighting in their hotel room. Later that night, Amy was seen running out of the hotel with a bloody knee, blood on her slipper, and make-up smeared all over her face. She was crying and running for the street. These are a real rehab material and no better even the rehab staff would desert the rehab that the two would ever check into fearing that the kitchen crockery and other things that they can have in their hands would hit them in their brawls. They have fought not like a bull’s fight but a dirty dog’s fight. They are both crack heads so who knows what really happened. These two need to go to rehab and stay there until the job is done.

Britney Spears Breaks Down During Music Video Shoot

Britney Spears has suffered another breakdown on the set of her new music video, with production grinding to a halt after she began “sobbing hysterically” during a pole dance routine. She was a DIVA, but she is no longer one. Just a messed up, confused, running the line, sorry person and forgive me if I have forgotten to mention something more nice about her. It is very sad to see someone with so much talent, give up on life…checking out without actually having checked in. It makes no sense that her family, who has profiteered from her success, cannot get it together to get her some serious, well needed help. BUT, she is of age where she controls her own life and does as she pleases. She will perhaps wisen up when the court takes her 2 children away from her. Britney there’s more to life than just being successful and having the money babes. Leave America and leave all the memories too for sometime, rehabilitate to somewhere in Asia in the hills and trying meditation, meet the Dalai Lama or something and make peace with yourself.

‘Drink-driving’ arrest for Lohan

US actress Lindsay Lohan has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and possession of cocaine after spending a second stint in rehab.

The 21-year-old star was pulled over by officers in Santa Monica, California. She already faces a drink-driving charge in Beverly Hills.

Ms Lohan was also charged for driving while her licence was suspended, Santa Monica police said.

The actress’s publicist was not available for comment.

In December Ms Lohan admitted she had been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for a year. A few weeks later she checked herself into a treatment centre, saying she had made a “proactive decision” to “take care” of her health.

Four months after she completed that stint in rehab she was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after she was involved in a car accident.

Ms Lohan returned to rehab and has recently been photographed wearing an alcohol tag, which was reportedly monitoring her alcohol consumption as part of her treatment.

The actress had her first hit aged 11 in The Parent Trap. She has also starred in films like Freaky Friday, Mean Girls and A Prairie Home Companion.

Courtney Love; Back to the Remedy

Months ago, Courtney Love shocked the world with the greatest physique she has ever sported in front of the camera. But these days, Miss Love seems to be disappearing with how thin she’s gotten. Furthermore, it looks as if she’s aged several years in a few months.

Paging Kate Moss, I think you have a new heroin partner with Courtney! The troubled singer was snapped leaving a plastic surgeon’s office in Beverly Hills on Monday looking hollow and gaunt. Apart from needing surgery to fix whatever is wrong, I think she also needs to get back in rehab. You don’t look like that due to natural causes. Unless of course you’re about 75 which we all know that she isn’t.

Lindsay’s Out of Rehab

After six weeks in the Promises rehab center Lindsay Lohan is sober and free. She checked out today with the agreement to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet on her ankle. The device is made to test the levels of ethanol that is given off through the skin. If Lindsay drinks alcohol she will give off traces of ethanol which will be monitored and sent to data collection. The press seems to really emphasize that she voluntarily agreed to this. It’s supposedly to allow her to dine and dance without the accusation that she is also drinking again. I can understand why this might be a good idea for her if it’s her good name she is worried about. I can’t help but wonder why Paris never thought of this. Most likely because then she couldn’t drink. Or maybe it just wasn’t the right fashion accessory for her. If Lindsay is legit in her efforts to change then I say all the power to her. After all, she lasted twice as long in a committed program by her own will than Hilton did in jail crying and feeling sorry for herself. It’s sad considering they are both guilty of the same crime. Maybe it’s not too late for Lindsay after all.

Courtney Love celebrated her 43rd birthday on Monday. And in her ever so volatile fashion, Courtney spent her day by doing her best impression of Poison’s C.C. Deville.

After her performance at London’s Bush Hall, the rehabbed rocker came out with an admirer’s gift of a bouquet while sporting a plastic hat and a bleached weave that highlighted her nose and white teeth. It’s like the strung out version of Barbie.

To tell you honestly, I didn’t think it was her. After she came out with that fabulous body of hers, I thought she’d be all glam again. This is way too far from that.

Mexican TV and print media published pictures that celebrity Web site TMZ said showed the 25-year-old pop star vacationing in Puerto Vallarta. Spears, her long, blond hair extensions pulled back in a ponytail, is wearing a white-and-turquoise cover-up over a bikini that reveals her not-so-toned backside.
