Ian Somerhalder to appear in gothic fairy tale Cradlewood

Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder has signed up to appear in the gothic fairy tale Cradlewood.
Ian, who also appeared in Lost, will play the heir to an incredible fortune who is living in Boston with an Australian woman.
His family history is caught up in a legend that tells of a pact with a demon that ensure whenever a boy is born into the family, the father is then killed.
He then suspects that his girlfriend is pregnant and after a number of strange events, believes he will die if he falls in love.
The story is based on the original story by Harry Weinmann, who is directing the flick. Catch Me If You Can’s Michel Shane and David Redman will produce.
Shane said: “We see this is as almost like an American-style Pan’s Labryrinth in look and feel.
“It’s a perfect segue for the kids who have outgrown Twilight but want something romantic and scary.
“Our monster will be quite terrifying; she is sexually attractive and monstrous at the same time.”
