Prince William and Kate Middleton use fake names on seaside holiday

By Isabella

Prince William and Kate Middleton chose the alias “Smith” for a cozy weekend away on the Cornish coast.

The pair, rumoured to be on the brink of getting engaged, have been staying at a private house near the medieval town of Fowey under the names Mr and Mrs Smith.

“It is quite funny really that they feel they need to go to such great lengths to keep their visit a secret – but I suppose it adds to the romance,” a source was quoted as saying.

The source added: “William and Harry spend a lot of time in Cornwall in summer. They love it. They are mad about surfing and go to secluded beaches where they can surf largely unnoticed.”

The couple’s privacy may have been cramped, though, when Harry and some mates tagged along. The group had a beach barbecue, with the princes knocking back cider, playing football and setting up a fire. Prince William and Middleton later watched the sun set.
