Marriage-split Mel Gibson jokingly sticks his tongue out at a blonde as he fools around on the beach in the first pictures of him since his wife filed for divorce.

The Lethal Weapon star seemed to be having fun with the mystery woman in Costa Rica as he sported long hair, a half-unbuttoned shirt and a pair of bright orange Crocs.

His blonde companion threw back her head and roared with laughter as he cheekily poked his tongue out.

Gibson did not look at all worried by the prospect of having to hand over half his reputed $900 million (USD) fortune to wife Robyn, who has filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.”

He briefly looked lost in thought as he stood holding his Crocs in his hand, but hardly seemed to have a care in the world as he laughed and joked with his companions.

The actor owns a $28 million (USD) cattle ranch in Costa Rica, where he was snapped frolicking on the beach with stunning Russian musician Oksana Kolesnikova last month.

An onlooker said: “Mel was laughing and joking.

“He did not look at all worried or concerned.

“You would never have guessed he is going through what could be a very expensive divorce.”

Gibson confirmed in court papers filed in response to his wife’s divorce petition that they have been separated for almost three years.

He stated they separated in August 2006, just weeks after his infamous arrest for drink-driving.

Sources close to Gibson and Robyn claim the couple have no prenuptial agreement.

But under California law, Robyn would be entitled to half of Gibson’s earnings during the time they were married.

The couple have seven children – but only son Tom, who turns 10 this week, is listed in the court papers as a minor.

Robyn is seeking joint physical and legal custody of Tom and is also asking for spousal support and attorneys’ fees.

She is being represented by top lawyer Laura Wasser, whose previous clients include Britney Spears and Angelina Jolie.
