Mickey Rourke turns real life wrestler for a night

Mickey Rourke seems to be internalizing his Oscar-nominated wrestler role in the movie “The Wrestler”. The Oscar-nominated actor earlier said he would be at the Wrestlemania 25 only to back out later on saying he can no longer get in the rings since he is doing Iron man 2. Mickey Rourke however stepped into the ring and took on Wrestling star Chris Jericho in Houston, Texas.
Mickey Rourke did not keep his word and knocked down Chris Jericho with whom he has already been feuding for weeks. Chris Jericho earlier called out Mickey Rourke’s friends including wrestling legends Ricky Steamboat, Roddy Piper and Ric Flair as well as his actor friends. The three wrestlers were previously in the ring but were defeated by Chris Jericho. This may have emboldened Micky Rourke to jump inside the ring and punch Chris Jericho.

well Mickey Rourke went to all the trouble of working out and getting huge, he might as well make an appearance as a real, pro wrestler
