Manson Devastated by Failed Marriage

Marilyn Manson married burlesque dancer and model Dita Von Teese in November 2005 and the end of this marriage came last December when she filed for divorce. The couple looked good together and it seemed like they were happy and when I found out about the split I couldn’t not think about a song by Marilyn Manson called “Para Noir”. I can not duplicate the lyrics here as it has a lot of unapropiate words in it but I thought the message in that song was similar to what happened to Manson. I might have made a mistake as the singer’s words say something different:

“I was completely destroyed. I had no soul left. I define myself as a person, a human, an artist, as someone who makes things — writing, painting, music — and I couldn’t do anything. She [Dita von Teese] said she had tolerated the lifestyle because she hoped I would change and threatened to leave if I didn’t. I was sleeping on the couch in my own home. I was no longer supposed to be a rock star. I was someone who had to be apologized for. I wasn’t prepared to be alone. I came out of this naked, a featherless bird.”

Now things seem to be going well for Manson as his friendship with Evan Rachel Wood (a rather unknown 19 year old actress) turned out romantic. She said she would die for him and this motivated Manson and gave him a reason for living. It might seem odd but it is not, it is always nice to know somebody really cares to this extent. It looks like this brought Manson back from his depression and now he is recording a new album called “Eat Me, Drink Me”, dated to be released soon on June 5.
